↑Do you know or heard about Shibamata(柴又) before?
This is my first time to Shibamata, and it was a long way for me too. From Nakano(中野), I transferred at least 3 times, over 1 hour to get there.

↑My purpose was for this little ferry(!?), Yagiri-no-Watashi(矢切の渡し). You can see from the picture above, and you only can ride on weekends and holidays during winter time.
I read this information from a guide book, that's why I decided to go and have a look at Shibamata.

↑On the way to the Yagiri-no-Watashi, I saw a monkey at the corner, and many people waiting there.

↑Ohhh, it's a monkey show! It's so cute!

↑After the little monkey show, I keep walking and looking for Yagiri-no-Watashi…
Finally, I found it in a park or something where is near the river.
As this photo, you can see there are some rules wrote on the board.

↑One way is 200yen, and there is no discount for round way. Anyway, it's worth to have an experience of this small ferry(!?) , especially in a sunny day.

***Timetable of Yagiri-no-Watashi***
Summer: Everyday 9:30 – 16:30
Winter: Weekends & Holidays 9:30 – 16:30

↑I thought people may not interested in this ferry, Yagiri-no-Watashi, but it was crowded when I was there, and still some people waiting in queue.

↑After Yagiri-no-Watashi, I went to Katsushika Yamamoto-Tei(山本亭), where has a Japanese garden and green tea set.
My order was a basic green tea set, which is 600yen. You have to order it when you are paying your entrance fee. You will get a ticket, and after you decide your seat/table, just put your ticket on the table, then the staff will come to you.
The entrance fee for Yamamoto-Tei is 100yen, but you can buy a set ticket, which is 550yen and include the entrance fee of Tora-san Museum.

↑I got a perect seat to enjoy my green tea set, and very relax. I do really love this place, and would like to recommend you!

↑Tora-san Museum (寅さん記念館).
Before I go to Shibamata, people asked me, do you know Tara-san? I was confused, and I don't know who is this person.
After I soent a few hours in this museum, I think, I know who is this person now! I watched some of his video there, and it makes people laughs and happy, and understand why so many people know about him.

↑One corner of this museum…
You can take pictures any where inside of this museum, and I don't put so many pictures here, because I recommend you to go there and see what's going on there.

↑Tora-san, you will see this after you finish the museum.

↑Tora-san's luggage and hat.

↑There are many designs with Tora-san's face, you can try to find how many in the museum, even in the toilet, you can find some as well, very interesting!

↑I was wearing Tora-san's outfit in the museum. I wasn't know that you can wear it, after I met a Japanese old man in the museum, who is doing volunteer guide for tourist.
He took me into the museum again, and passed these outfit and took this photo for me. I'm so glad that I met him, and learned more about Tora-san from him.
*He told me there are many Tora-san face design in the museum too.

↑After Tora-san museum, there is another museum called Yamada Yoji Museum(山田洋次ミュージアム). Yamada Yoji is a film director and produced Tora-san series. And I think this museum is mainly for Tora-san  series too.

↑Three monkeys near Shibamata Station, and I heard it was made by special wood long time ago. Now it changed to new one, which is made by stone…
*I saw a photo of the old one, and old one is cute than new one actually.

↑My Shibamata adventure finished…
Before I leave Shibamata area, I finally had a chance to have a picture with Tora-san in front of station.
I actually do like this area, friendly and slowly, can feel relax when I was walking on the street. If you are interesting in Japanese local area, I highly recommend you to have a look here. (^o^)/
