Daytrip to Kamakura

Hi there,
If you are looking for change of scenery from Tokyo without going too far, Kamakura is the place for you!
Hop on the train and head south to Kamamura station, it takes about 1 hour. Nearby the station, there are many beautiful temples to visit.
You can get your fortune for the year, give coins and make wishes. Sometimes there are also weddings being held there.

Further away, you can visit the Kamakura daibutsu. It is the second largest in Japan. It is even possible to visit the interior.

In the area, there are many small shops with delicious snacks, try out the dango, senbei or korokke. If you are hungrier, there are also restaurants. I tried out the japanese curry at Cobakaba, it was my favourite meal in Japan in so far!

In summer you can also visit one of the numerous beaches nearby and do cycling or hiking. Overall, there is many activities around Kamakura, it is worth going.. See it for yourself and share you experience with us!
